All classes of ship ? I can only think of 2

I know of 2 ships by the name of Rothesay - one was HMS Rothesay, but there is nothing really famous about that one. The other was a sailing vessel of the 19th century which was fever stricken at sea and the captaincy was taken over by a certain Bessie Hall (becoming probably the first female ship's captain in the process) and successfully reaching Liverpool from Nova Scotia. Am I barking up the wrong tree ?

Yes, they were all classes of ships. Now what is the link to this forum?

They were all classes of ship used by the Royal Navy: The Rothesay class was only 2 ships, but the Duke Class (type 23) and the City-class frigate were larger. At least 2 of the classes were built in Yarrow, but I am struggling with the connection to this forum

One of the City-class cruisers was actually called HMS Watford. Does the name Watford appear amongst the other classes as well ?

Phew, got there.

HMS Watford (D41) – City Class Cruiser launched by Lady Pamela Moswold, 4th Duchess of Watford in 1928
HMS Watford (F110) – Rothesay Class Frigate launched by the 5th Duke of Watford, Sir Algernon Moswold on 5thApril 1959.
HMS Watford (F84) – Duke Class Frigate launched by 6th Duchess of Watford, Lady Cecelia Moswold on August 17th 1994.

Cheers Frenchie. Your boss at work tells you to stop shaving - this is probably at some time in June. In fact he does the same every year to either you or your colleagues (actually quite a lot of them). Who are you and where ?

I guess the order to stop shaving in June could be flexible - for some youngsters it could be May. At any rate you should be sporting an impressive beard by a certain day in July. Of course people who already have one are exempt from this order.
