    Terrific. Is Britain’s oldest?

(That’s not the question I’m setting, btw ;))

What piece of music had an emperor’s name scratched off the dedication, because he was an emperor?

Piano concerto number 4 by Beethoven

He was angry that Napoleon had declared himself as Emperor!

I have it as the 3rd Symphony, 'Eroica', Dave, but you've the correct geezer!
Apparently he was all for the revolutionary movements of the time, saw Napoleon as someone as heroic in that regard and dedicated 'Eroica' to him. The first recital was given, then Ludwig found out Napoleon had just made himself emperor. Disgusted, he supposedly tore up the front page of his work including the dedication (although this is thought to be apocryphal as what purports to be the original appears to be in a Vienna museum).

Over to you, Sir Dave. <ok>

    Thanks Andy.

Who scored the last goal at the Kop end of Anfield before it was demolished and re-built?

How about Ryan Giggs? That would’ve gone down well. Bit like my fence. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I have always understood it to be Jeremy Goss, who scored the Norwich goal, but you have the correct match so you must be right.

    All yours!

I just googled has Jeremy Goss ever scored at Anfield and I says he scored the last goal in front of the terraced Kop, so who the Hell is John Garner?

Although it doesn’t make any mention of his brother here...
