Cheers Yorkie. Dancing goats and a subsequent visit to a Sufi monastery led to what historic first ?
It was indeed Yorkie. He took the beans to the Sufi and he was initially not impressed and so threw them in the fire - upon noticing the fragrance they scrambled them out again and tried to dissolve them in water - thus creating the first cup of coffee (nearly). Or at least so is the legend - all this happened around 850 AD when the difference between legend and fact was more fluid. Nice story anyway - I would have loved to have seen the goats ! Over to you.Was it the discovery of coffee by kaldi an Ethiopian goatherder who noticed his goats were a bit frisky after eating certain berries.. So he took them to a local sufi temple?
Yes... festival cancelled but the competition is going ahead.....Surfing competition in Newquay?
