There are many examples of fungus forms which have 2 host plants - mostly between fruit trees and bushes, and evergreens such as pines, ceder etc. where the fungus lives over the winter. Fruit orchards are never situated close to these - we had problems between our pear trees and the juniper bushes of our neighbour a few years back. In order to protect the white pines in the USA (and the timber industry) the Americans banned the cultivation of blackcurrants for nearly a century. Over to you.Blackcurrents and something to do with a fungus that could spread to trees?
