Is this the Christmas matches against Northampton back in the 50's?ok on a Christmas theme
What unique Christmas happening do Watford and another midlands club share.......
Hmm - the only thing I can find about Christmas fixtures against Walsall that may be unique is that they drew 2-2 on consecutive days, then on the day after Watford also drew 2-2 with Fulham.

I guess it must be Roman, was it Paulanus and Boudica ? I am puzzled by this because did anyone actually conquer the whole of Britain ? Or do you mean England ?Happened around six years after he had conquered Britain.
It is Roman - and they did conquer most of Britain. It's generally thought that Hadrian's Wall was the extent of the Roman reach, but that's not the case. The fishing village I live in was formerly a Roman port, my house is actually built on the site of the Roman fort that protected the port. Five miles from here there are the remains of an amphitheatre, where prisoners and lions reputedly provided local entertainment - and around ten miles away is a hill thought by some researchers to be the site of the battle of Mons Graupius.I guess it must be Roman, was it Paulanus and Boudica ?
