The answer I was looking for is promession - in which bodies are super-cooled using liquid nitrogen, to the point of becoming brittle, and are then shattered using ultrasonic vibration - eventually leaving a dry powder which turns to compost.
Have to be careful to avoid light vibration, won't I? Steps 1 & 2 can be achieved alternatively by 'The Look' from my wife.
