He did indeed, but but the connection is with the actual event that the film is based on, not the film itself.Steve McQueen was actually arrested by the German police during filming - because of a speed trap.

I'll set one. An event is taking place for the 16th time from 27th June to 3rd July this year, the second time in this location, the last being in 1997. What is it?
It is either that or the Avian Adventure in Svartadalen, Sweden on the same dates, which will be a headache for twitchers from the Channel Islands, especially if they are also athletes. Is this the 'Island Games' , to be held in Jersey for the second time. The games being a coming together of 14 sports - and being open to all island states.
Cheers Barry. Who spent a night hidden in a cupboard in the chapel of the Palace of Westminster ? And why did they do it ?
Emily Davison hid in a cupboard during the night of the census so that she could put her address as the Palace of Westminster.

Why?
She stayed the night there so that she could legitimately give her address on the census form as being the House of Commons, presumably to gain access to the Commons on the next day - Emily Davison was one of the most well known Suffragettes.
Ah, I see. Thanks kolnster! BTW are you a fan of kolsch?
Why was the first proposed international cricket match cancelled?
That was quick! Yes England were to play France. The MCC had a tour of France planned for 1789 which was cancelled because of the French Revolution so I guess it must have included some sort of international match.
