This question came up at a pub quiz I took part in and I cannot remember the answer. It was something small though.
No - ofh is on the right track. Penguins aren't officially classified as land animals, I'm led to believe, as they spend the majority of their time in the sea.
Obviously without the use of the internet , my 'guess' is Belgica Antartica, a flightless midge. Here is a picture of your standard midge: please log in to view this image And the flightless ones look like this: please log in to view this image (Not sure this latter picture is for family viewing - apologies)
Me? Never! We've only ever played them once. They knocked us out of the FA Cup 3-2 when we went to their place. Their next draw in the cup took them to Highbury where they drew 2-2. They were in the Southern League at the time so these were big results. They lost the replay to Arsenal 1–2 at their home ground. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was Crystal Palace. Why?
Bedford Town whose nickname was The Eagles? Thought I'd better get in before ofh - he was probably at the match...
Sorry, I did reply, I thought, but it didn't register. Quite right, cologne, the Eagles play at the Eyrie in Cardington. All yours. Sorry, BB, pipped I'm afraid.
