Football boots. Hand-stitched tick on the side and I suppose, given how old they were... They must have been Predaters...

<applause> That's the one Andy, the first time that football boots are specifically mentioned in history.....it's not known how often Harry used them because he was already quite old, plump (and gouty) by 1526. Over to you.

Sorry for the delay - work is <yikes> a bit at the mo'.

Who was club captain when John McClelland signed from Rangers?

Not that I'm aware of....

Am looking for something that was 'invented' in Australia eleven years ago, and is now popular around the world.

Australian Inventions 2003
Blast Glass – A ballistic and blast resistant glass system was invented by Peter Stephinson. Unlike conventional bulletproof glass it incorporates an air cavity to absorb the shock wave of explosions, and was effective in protecting the Australian Embassy in the Jakarta bombings of 2004.

So, is there blast glass in this book from 1585?

<laugh> That last clue I have to admit was poorly worded - I'll blame my wife who was nagging to leave early for Xmas shopping...

I'm looking for a word that is related to something 'invented' in Australia eleven years ago, is popular around the world now, and is prominent for one month every year, although can be seen at other times.

And if that doesn't confuse you, nothing will...

Something to do with 'Movember'? Is it a month in which everyone stops shaving?
