What do a seller of perfumes and pulling a branch have in common in relation to what they were trained to do.... ?

The name Gandhi means 'seller of perfume' - the 'famous' Gandhi was a bit of a peace activist who 'pulled' an olive branch or two in his time?

A bit of a stab in the dark really...

Perfume sellers must be trained to smell I suppose, so does training tree branches improve the blossom scent for pollenators?

Gandhi, a barrister, also lived in South Africa and Nelson Mandela was a trained lawyer and his name means pulling a branch in Xhosa.

What connects an invasion of Spain, a chain of convenience stores, and Mumbai bombings?

    Spar

Spartans invaded Spain (not many people know that) Spar is a chain of convenience stores - and the Mumbai bombers worked undercover in a health 'Spa' ... I may just have made all of that up on the "spar" of the moment <whistle>

The Mumbai bombings in 2006 were a series of 7 bomb blasts over a period of 11 minutes - could relate to the convenience store chain 7-Eleven. The Moors invaded Spain in 711.

Took a bit of research - it had better be the right answer.... :)

When the Moors reached the border of Spain
They found that they'd run out of grain
    Tescos shut up by four
So they blew up the door
Using bombs from a Mumbai-born Jain

That's close enough. You actually made another link, BB. The Mumbai bombings took place on July 11th - 7/11.

    You're go
