When I was a kid in the 90s, chicken and chips seemed like the height of luxury and I still as often as not will have that plain, peri peri or cajun. Not hunter's chicken though, too sickly sweet with all that barbecue sauce.
I love pickled eggs , my local supermarket started selling them and I scoffed a dozen in a weekend . Don't think my guts ever recovered
Do they buy second hand records? I've got a load of 80's vinyl that needs to get gone, probably not worth much unless anyone is into Alien Sex Fiend.
If it's Kylie and Jason it will be worth nothing but Alien Sex Fiend might be worth a few quid. https://www.discogs.com/artist/29001-Alien-Sex-Fiend
Baked tattie with chilli and salad/coleslaw. Like myself, I am fairly simple. Simple things in life are the best, that's why I like you buddy.
Fray Bentos? The Full Metal Dinner - Fray Bentos Steak & Kidney Pie, tinned potatoes and tinned mixed veg. A veritable banquet for the senses. No wonder XTC wrote that wonderful song about this delightful dining experience.
The cook at my local pub think's all that with his secret ingredients and wonderful gravy, daft **** doesn't think I've cottoned on to the fact he just adds a tin of oxtail soup to it. And semen.
