I must say some senior players were really really poor there. Tsimikas first looked like he decided to save himself.
Elliott positioning and decisions was awful most of the night. Huge amount of Hollywood and then running lateral refusing to pass simply.
Endo was real huffing and puffing stuff. If you know you are struggling to make a ball as the ref has interfered you clear it. Poor.
Bradley not great tbh. Zero real product from him since his return from injury.
Disappointed in and for danns. Really poor showing all game but kicked off the park and the ref allowed them to.
They were fine up to even the second goal but they didn't have the support off then bench and the more fatigued they got the worse it got.
Somehow they got fixated on playing it to chiesa which was pointless as he had nothing then to play to
It doesn't matter in the end but it really just confirms that senior group won't be pushing for a place off any of the first team.

Two hard games coming up for City. Sweet. 2nd leg is 4 or 5 days before they play us on Sunday 24th.

Nothing wrong with our last 16 draw. None of those would have given us pause under klopp really. It probably will be psg but you never know.
Atlantic won us the super league so that's good.
McConnell did himself no harm at all there. A really decent showing.
Danns has proved he badly needs a loan. I was really hopeful for him.
25/30mins we are just fine there. Game was well within the teams capability but they just faded and the goals were really poor with i think all 3 having some opportunity for a simply clearance or get a block in.

The sole lesson to be learned, don't ever let the ball drop over your head and bounce as a defender.
Slot was raving about James McConnell and says he doesn't want him to go on laon.
If I were morton I'd have to think very very hard now. He got 20mins or so when he should have started so the writing is on thr wall but can he hang round til may and take whatever medals might drop his way?
He has played 3 in the league cup and 1 in the fa cup so he is entitled to a medal even if not in the final squads should we get there.
Personally he just needs his move now and lfc have cost themselves about 10 mil by not playing him once thry decided to keep him.

Disagree. If we continue in the FA Cup he will get chances, and as we're obviously not strengthening (again) in this window and we're fighting on four fronts we will need all the players we have.
Agree with much of this and I was thinking about this before the game too. It certainly looks like we're better off just cashing in on him at this point. He needs games and if he isn't going to get them here then he should go elsewhere.
