So, JT is confirmed out. Which probably means Azpi to RB and Rahman to LB, which worries me just a little....added to that Matic is suspended, Zouma is missing, Pato still isn't fit and neither is Falcao. Miazga and Clarke-Salter are both in the squad and I imagine at least one of them will be on the bench.

Not sure what we'll play. Probably too big of a game to trust RLC although if it was me i'd start him as we don't have many options. Maybe:

Courtois
Azpi - Cahill - Iva - Rahman
Mikel - Fabregas
Hazard - Willian - Pedro
Costa

I think that's what we might play but we'll be a little bit too open. Best we can hope for is a score draw IMO, can't see us winning at all, particularly with some important players missing.

Can't see us winning either. We need to be nomore than one goal adrift going into the second leg to be in with a shout of winning the tie.

Agree, just need to stay in the tie and then hopefully get JT and Matic back for the second leg to give us more options.

It isn't when we don't trust the youngsters.

Personally I think we are massive underdogs for this game and we'll be expected to pretty much park the bus. Maybe we should spring a surprise and go for it. Better to lose 3-2 than 1-0. PSG are good but how many teams in their league have a real go at them? Hazard, Costa, Fabregas, Willian etc. We need to let these guys off the leash. RLC and Mikel centre mid as a power house shield and let the attackers run rampant and natural width with good attacking full backs playing in their right positions for once.

I'd settle for 2-1 or even 3-1 loss.

Fabregas and Mikel are going to hve to produce their performances of the season.

With a fully fit squad I would have played matic Zouma or Ramires in middle.

We miss Rambo tonight but 25m was too good to turn down.

Hopefully cesc can lift one over the top for Costa to score. He is playing v well at mo.

But I would rather have had more protection with fab higher up.

Anyway cesc is meant to be a big game player so go and prove it tonight
 
It's the same line up as in the OP. Haven't seen the PSG one yet.

Imagine if we'd given RLC a run of games from november to now.

We'd be in exactly the same boat wrt the premier league table, but we'd know if we had a player who could slot in and do a job along side mikel, in matic's absence.

Its things like this that wind me up about the club. we knew matic was out for the biggest game all season but made no serious plans to do anything about it. Instead we faffed about and even sold our 3rd choice cm to china when that cold have waited till june..

arggh.

anyway lets see what happens not optimistic, but lets see

TBH - don't think we will get anything from this match or Tie.

If we manage to get a draw in either of these - that will be a huge accomplishment.

Way PSG's performance against us, will say whether Paris will do a Boston after the bombing.

Could have nicked something with RLC in there instead of Mikel. But that never happens anyways.
