I don't actually post on CI Football Plus at all(for those who don't know, CI Football Plus is like General Chat on here), so I'm afraid I can't answer that question.

I only post on CI's City board and I think most of the posters on there pop on here from time to time, a few post(those you've mentioned, plus a few others), but most just browse.

It's fine, but religion.......whats your view on abortion in catholic states? Do you approve of openly gay clergy in the Anglian church? Who's side are you on in Syria or Egypt? Is allowing girls the freedom of schooling right?

Why is this thread not about religion? Where's Fez?

Fez? Most likely given up after last time. This thread is another clearly not appropriate for this forum, especially after this was laid out last week. It's been reported correctly and for those reasons. It's posted by someone with a clear agenda, that is well known on these forums.

    But.

It's the "everythings racist" brigade that are the problem.

    FACT

It's probably best if we just let our right wing mods and posters carry on ignoring the views of the majority, and ignoring the rules when it suits them, and ignore these types of posts. Only thing that bothers me about that stance is, they'll think they've won, and I've never backed down from a fight in my life.

Craig in Nottingham:The article was only provocative to those who feel provoked when respect is paid to different religions. Why such a thing should be provocative to anyone is beyond me. Anyone else know?

City Agro: Well, Craig. There's a difference between respect being paid to a religion and the established way of doing things being modified for this one particular group. It's nor clear to me why this one particular group should be honoured in this way. Anyone else know?

Craig in Nottingham:Was anyone disgusted when Gedo bowed to the ground after scoring for us? Is anyone disgusted when Catholic players cross themselves when entering play or scoring?

City Agro: No and no. I dislike any kind of silly goal celebrations in general, but when we score it's irrelevant. Relief and jubilation kick in. All is forgiven, Marlon or Bullard, whoever.

Craig in Nottingham:The OP has an agenda as transparent as water and his constant references to anything vaguely anti-Muslim is typical of the CI septic tank mentality that most decent posters on this board don't seem to have the guts to stand up to.

City Agro: My agenda is to post on Hull City and like everyone else a bit of OT/ stuff (music, local issues and whatever else). Your agenda if I may so, seems to confront those you suspect may have some different opinions (death of Thatcher etc) and protest loudly about it.

Last time I was pissed, posting on here was straight after the Watford game. I said some stupid things too (especially to the Watford fans). It's hugely regrettable in the morning, as you can probably tell <laugh>

In regards to the OP, it is going to have an effect on English football as a whole, but some may be positive. For instance, their refusal to promote Sponsors like "Wonga" can get them out the game. How many people wish that we sign a Muslim footballer to try and get rid of Cash Converters?

Their religious beliefs are always going to be top priority over football, as Islam is a rather strict and rule-following Religion and as much as Managers and some fans may not like it, they're not going to change it. The way that the players and staff move clothes, and awards have been changed is good IMO. It shows that football is adaptable to the circumstances and not as crazy as it's seeming to be lately. It's respect, and it's not like the players asked for a change in the MOTM award, or for the players to move their clothes to get them away from spraying alcohol, the players and the FA changed it.

Ramadan moves forward 10 or 11 days every year, it's something to do with the lunar calendar.

During Ramadan those participating can't drink anything, I think most people know about the fact they can't eat but imagine not drinking anything from sunrise to sunset in this heat?

**** that for a game of soldiers.

Whilst on the subject of religion and football, which we clearly are, I wonder how many English players who cross themselves when they walk on the pitch ever go to mass ?

    I bet it's hardly any.

They've seen South American players do it and have just copied them.

    ******s.

Ps. Bob you need to have a word with yourself son.

This has to be the oddest thread I've ever read I still can't work out where half the references came from but I suppose that's OK I have no doubt that people could say the same thing about threads on the boards where I normally post.
