Of course it's hypocritical and mind games you ****ing dunce you're missing the point entirely. The fact is Fergie doesn't give a **** about whether he's being a hypocrite. He knows no one has the balls to pull him up over it AND he knows his words carry a lot of weight. Fergie's made a living out of mind games and hypocrisy ya tool and frankly he's amazingly good at it.

Fergie gets away with saying what he wants because...He's Alex Ferguson. Look at his tantrum with the BBC, when United lose, etc.

Why people are getting so annoyed about diving? Its as much apart of todays game as a ball, shin pads and a ref.

It's not just the diving/going to ground easily that's getting on our tits with Suarez so much as the fact that sitting on the deck waving his arms around means he's not on his feet chasing the ball down or destroying defenders with his immense talent. It doesn't help the team and frankly that's all I give a **** about <ok>

To most of us i'd say theres a cringe factor when he starts the dramatics,Ferguson has no bearing on my opinion and neither for that matter does Kenny.

Surely dog leashes are pretty damn useful anyway <ok> not only do they help maintain a measure of control but they can also be used to whip 'tards like Ivor into a bloody pulp...not that I'm condoning violence obviously <whistle>

as a norwich fan i will try to give you a more balanced view than the slanging between united and liverpool fans, but my opinion before the match on saturday and certainly afterwards is that suarez is one of the worst offenders in premier league history when it comes to trying to gain an advantage through whatever means he can, legal or otherwise. his constant berating of the match officials started as early as the 5th minute and got gradually worse as the game went on. he may have felt hard done by at times but in my opinion there was only 1 occasion where he perhaps could have had a free kick. however, he spent many a time rolling around, feigning injury, and was a constant irritant throughout the match with his appalling behaviour. i do not believe he has gained a reputation because of what ferguson said; he has gained a reputation for his ridiculous antics in each match. i think he is a terrific footballer but my word he has an attitude problem and if he carries on like this he will be sent off by a strong official. i felt peter walton had an outstanding match on saturday, letting the game flow and never falling for his gamesmanship. however, he really ought to have seen at least a yellow card when screaming at the linesman and could conceivably been sent off later for diving. his poor finishing is costing liverpool and now his misdemeanours are there for everyone to see. i think even liverpool fans would admit he cuts it pretty fine at times.

anyway, good game on saturday, very exciting and best of luck for the season <ok>

Suarez was hated in Holland for his antics.

Kenny needs to tell him cheating and diving is not the Liverpool way.

Shanks would turn in his grave

There you go again! YOU haven't got a clue what Shankley would have done - and it's Mr Shankley to you. Where is your evidence for your contention that he was 'hated' in Holland?

As for the Liverpool way then perhaps that might be better applied to Chelsea after all they don't dive and roll around or mob and abuse the ref do they?

Drogba was the worst for it when he first came over <ok> as for Suarez being hated in Holland the Ajax fans still love him and no doubt he was hated by many opposing fans but this was as much to do with his ripping opposition defences apart on a weekly basis as anything else.

All I want to see now from the lad is to play to the best of his ability and try his best to stay on his feet as often as possible. He could watch a certain Mr Silvas performance at mold trafford on Sunday to see the benefits it can bring.

Agreed. Didier learned to stay on his feet and became the best in the Prem.

When Did acts up you see the results (Sunday).

Suarez has been a disappointment here; better known for diving than scoring; let's hope he can learn from greats like didier...

There speaks a deluded fool, Drogba is far from being GREAT. Good forward in his time but now on the wane to the point where none of your fellow clubmates tip him to be top scorer. His actions on the pitch still remain reprehensible (Sunday)

He's about 33 though so its a bit harsh to say he is not great now, in the past he showed himself to be one of the best strikers in the history of the premiership.

Why have you still got QPR tickets as your avatar? Not exactly an occasion you want to remember is it?

Whilst I think that the poster is a prat, I have no doubt whatsoever that Drogba has been a very good goalscorer. However, I really do argue with the accolade of great. To truly become a legend, you have to match or surpass the performance of those who had gone before you - not just within the Premiership history. So where does Drogba really stand even in Chelsea's history (or lack thereof) in relation to say Osgood? Now iden that to all of the clubs that have graced the top flight and try and rate Drogba. I strongly doubt that you would then come up with the accolade of great for Drogba.

Well I think his name will stand out for being one of the best strikers in the history of English football if we look back in 10 years time so I guess he is kinda important. However I agree that he won't be an icon in the way that Cantona was for example.

You are misinterpreting me, I wasn't trying to degrade Suarez or anything I just disagreed with Fordeckdave.

So your saying that Drogba's diving and feigning injury will be forgotten as time goes by and that Cantona's kung fu kick will also be forgotten and both will be remembered for there talent.

    Good,so Saurez need'nt worry then.

Well done, you managed to work out the gist of my post and are smart enough to realise how stupid and hypocritical a lot of Liverpool fans are.

That makes you smarter than the average window licker on here.

Unfortunately you then go on to say its worse when SAF does the same thing because he's SAF, i.e more influential, longer lasting and more successful. Solid argument there champ. I take back what I said about being smarter.

I suggest you look up the words hypocritical in the dictionary.
