I was going to mention this, he doesn't carry himself well- looks like he needs a rocket up the arse or something. If we don't go up he could be worth perservering with. Its amazing after clubs spend so much time tracking and scouting players and signing them for millions that they still get it wrong like with Prozzy
I agree with that but also was the same with Jozy too, did a lot but no goals added up, or didn't add up
Agree with you though Bum chinned crab, i hate righting our players off so maybe keep him around the team another year to see if he can't improve enough to be considered as a genuine option upfront for us. One thing he does seem to have is a powerful shot, hes hit acouple of right drives.....wide obviously ha ha.
Proschwitz - He doesn't look up to it IMO. loan out Simmo - holds up ball OK, good all-round player but a striker? has shown it in patches but not enough, doesn't get himself in the right positions, an international striker like Gedo knows straight off where to be (after only 4 games). sorry, sell
It's not fair I agree with that. How can they play him though if he needs a dozen games to get going?
Look at Gedo for an example, knows **** all about the country, probably not match fit at all and bangs in 3 in 3. I feel sorry that Prozzy might not get a real crack of the whip but sometimes the player needs to step up to the plate.
He's a bit of a donkey so that never looks pretty, Crouchy and alike don't look much better. From the highlight reels I've seen he has set up a few goals and hammered in a few, but honestly needs more time on the pitch. I think we'll hang onto him. a. to save face and b. as a different option to let the better players shine....but if we go up (think we will) then agreed, he'll be loaned out or sold; no one will give a rats arse about the 2.6 million we wasted then.
He's been a big disappointment and odds are we'll unload him in the summer if Aluko's operation restores him to fitness. But I'd still rather have him over Simpson any day who hasn't even been close to scoring for months. Maybe Boyd can make a difference to his ability to get open.
He'll be back in a European second tier team next year, thought he looked poor first time he played for us and hasn't shown anything in any game I've seen, guessing by his lack of game time shows nothing in training either, staggered by the faith some show in him, face facts he's ****
Nah, he couldn't handle the crosses. Last time I saw him he looked like he'd been nailed to the spot.
I tend to go by other players reactions and NP seems to get the support from his mates. Whilst I agree that he isn't anywhere near ready, I do not think that he was every expected to be. Steve Bruce brought him in for a reason and as good at management as some think they are, not one of us know as much about the game as Steve Bruce. Prozzy has at least been in the right zone of play, he just inst strong enough. Simpson is strong enough but doesn't get in the zone. Gedo becomes the zone and he dishes out more than he gets. I can't wait for Fathy to get up to speed.
I agree with Mel U but also Tickler above and always give players a chance and my support. U-Boat has struggled but a great point was made on the George Boyd thread.. "Boyd was good enough to make Aaron Mclean look like a £1.2m striker". Perhaps Boyd can get him firing.. I hope so.
Eh? What you basically saying is the likes of koren, aluko, elmo etc haven't been good enough, was it gedo's poor pass that caused proschwitz to miss against derby? I thought our Achilles heel has been not taking chances despite creating plenty
