Brilliant try put a fairly poor imitation of a tackle by Dombrandt. Van der Merwe eligible for Scotland because he's lived there for 3 years!

Yes, you could just imagine coaches at all levels from juniors up screaming “Get his ****ing legs!”.

Scotland looked dangerous every time they had possession.. alas we didn't, wasn't inspired by Borthwicks appointment and after that I'm even less inspired. Lots of huff and puff but little quality from us.

Same old, same old from England I’m afraid.

At least the new winger looked pretty with his painted finger nails.

As for the residency rule? Absolute joke.

It needs addressing because I don’t know a single person who agrees with it.

Thought our scrum looked good, the rest, unsurprisingly, looks like a work in progress.

Kinnell, an uplifting win yesterday and yet rugby is still the top of the menu on here yet again.

Maybe Castro is right and we really are a rugby city. :emoticon-0114-dull:

It was an England team playing in front of the biggest crowd of the day.Why don’t you complain about the thread about that silly American sport?
You appear never to read anything properly, or misinterpret it.I have never said this is a rugby city. I have asked why there is so much stuff about rugby on the HDM site when pubs are packed for football matches on TV, internationals and club games (the fact so many people are in there referring to Liverpool and Man Utd as us and we is a disgrace) but no one is in watching Wigan v St Helens. There is a feature in HDM about every club in the Super League, all its signings and analysing each one before the upcoming season, transfer news about rugby clubs in Australia. Nothing similar about the Championship where average crowds are over double those of Super League.

Seldom see any mention of Rugby Union in the HDM, or cricket for that matter and it's certainly not covered by Radio Humberside either.

Had that argument with Humberside. Was told there was little interest in union. I told them Humberside covered more than Hull and in East Riding there were union clubs with large numbers of under 8s up to adult teams in Brid, Driffield, Pocklington, Beverley and elsewhere including Ionians. No RL ones apart from in Cott and Beverley, and even there the RU members outnumber them.
Cricket got a mention when Gollum was on. He was apparently a very good cricketer in his time.

Well this soon went off topic after its revival.
Sumatran walking his dog and meets a fellow dog walker,
Sumatran, 'Nice sunny day today'.
Other guy, ' Yeah nice for this time of year, how is your dog's injured paw now?'
Sumatran, 'Stick to the topic please.'

That's no way to refer to my wife! She is better looking than you.
