I think it's important that we're realistic as a fan base, and everyone seems to be on here which is great. I'm all for optimism but at times during last season (more at the beginning and middle of the season) the high levels of expectancy amongst the SMS crowd often manifested itself negatively with groans and individual player criticisms - both of which I despise! The latter half of the season our fans were awesome, always supportive especially when going behind, which I think was key to a number of our revivals (MK Dons match in particular).
So this season with everyone realistically realising consolidation and a finish up or near the top 6 would be grand and anything else a bonus, I can envisage the fans being much more like they were at the end of the season - supportive and not getting too down if we fall behind. Also the removal of the favourites tag is good news; it's a different type of pressure on the players, one that now lost will be replaced by a more positive pressure from NA. And of course we won't be as hated (jealousy) as last year. I can't wait!
