not a case of being pro-City at all. the game should have been won by HT but after going 2-0 down City still had chances. but overall for me and many others that has been Citys best performance of the season. We lost due to the same old problem....a lack of goals. but we have moved on.

 

I haven't moved on, I still want another striker!

I don't have specific names but I hope Nick does! We are in a better position that 65 other teams so I would like to think we could attract somebody who can score

 

agreed. i am sure that Nick has this in mind and IF anyone becomes available he will do something. but it would have to be an improvement on what we have already for sure.

 

Must be prem strikers not involved in 1st team action that could do a job for us

 

DQPR appear to be the best PL club for surplus strikers. Jay Bothroyd is now way down the pekking order.

Man City have a certain Carlos Tevez surplus to requirements. I dont see anyway back for him there at all. Maybe Brian Marwood can broker a 2 month loan deal ?

 

I was looking @ QPR's squad, Agyemang, Helguson, Mackie, Smith, DJ Campbell, Bothroyd, Macheda, Hulse! Zamora & Cisse are first choice so surely we have a chance of getting one of the others

I can't see NB bringing anyone in now and he pretty much said so to Burnsie after Birmingham.
He is very certain how he wants the team to play and only the specific type of players who suit that style will be considered.
Whether we get promoted this season or not it will be very interesting to see who he brings in this summer.

 

did not hear NB post match interview as i lost the internet signal in Birmingham. maybe that is the public stance but i bet NB will bring in someone IF that someone is available. imo.

 

If that is NB's stance, I hope it doesn't come back to haunt him! With the defence the way it is, a proven championship striker could well be enough to get us top 2. As the squad is @ the min I believe we will fall short of automatic promotion

 

I can't remember NB's exact words but Burns asked the question and Nick immediately dismissed it, then Burns said something like - Oh well I had to ask.

 

Think Burnsy gets a dismissive response with most questions!

 

I think we need a striker too, but I can't see it happening. NB does seem to have a stubborn streak and I think he would rather persevere with King.

 

Hope he's right, not exactly a lot of time for him to persevere though!

 

NB wont make public his plans will he even IF Burnsy keeps asking him. Just trust in Nick. He knows what he is doing.
