Dont disagree with ^^^^^^ this really. 1-0 wins will do for me. 12 should just about do the trick for a top 2 finish.
Actually, it would be better for Hull City IF West Ham were to win those games or at the very least they all end in draws thus each team drops 2 points.
Very true but would you bet against it ? Cannot wait to see our defence up against Southampton. Should be fun.
I don't agree. The best thing is for both automatic places to stay within reach right to the end if possible (unless City are occupying one of course). West Ham aren't that special and the more pressure they're put under the more likely they are to slip. We shouldn't be accepting that any club will finish above us, because City are as good as any of the challengers and given a bit of luck we can win this league.
i would not disagree with any of ^^^^^^^^^ this. My point on West Ham winning was to simply destroy the rest of our rivals. But yes the more open the league is the better. In an ideal world i would like it to be US and Saints for the top 2 slots. IMO, Hull Citys Best performance was the home game against West Ham when we lost 2-0. Far too many missed chances. Crazy game football.
They had 2 shots, and whilst I don't know how many of ours came in the 2nd half, it must have been at least half. They certainly didn't tonk us they just finished the chances they made. That's the only difference between us and the top two.
i think its 6 from any of the top 11 now - its gonna be hard for Leicester to catch up 6th , and in the 11 , Brighton and Leeds are starting to fade .
Our next five games are Brighton H, Blackpool A, Leeds H, Ipswich H and Cardiff A. Every one of those games offers a different challenge and every one will be a battle. Putting aside the emphasis on climbing the table for a moment, you have to say that this division is really fascinating and every minute of every game grips your attention.
Don't like to write teams off but think Leicester are too inconsistent to make the top 6, they've had good results like their win at Southampton but had defeats like Watford last night. Don't think Leeds will make the top 6 again due to inconsistency and also loss of key players but if they get a new manager in to galvanize them they could well have a chance but it could come too late. West Ham, Southampton and Birmingham will be in the top 6 imo so that leaves 3 places up for grabs between us, Cardiff, Blackpool, Reading, Boro, Brighton and Burnley. Gonna be an exciting final few weeks. Looking at the other end of the league, relegation looks to be between Coventry, Forest, Donny, Bristol, Millwall and Pompey.
Out of the teams in and around us, we still have to play: Home Southampton Middlesbrough Brighton Leeds Away West Ham Cardiff Blackpool Leicester Interms of relegation, Peterborough could be dragged in
Nonsense. Yes in the 2nd half City were not as good but we still had chances and should have won the game. As for being tonked you need to watch the game again. Even Big Sam said there win was down to Robert Green and Hulls wasteful nature.
West Ham were the better side second half. They came out the traps flying and Carlton Cole was the difference. As soon as they got the first they looked very comfortable for the rest of the game.
I know we all want to be pro-City but come on. Once they went 1-0 up it wasn't long before it was 2 and I don't think we ever looked like threatening that. We played some great football first half (even with Dele leading the line) and some decent football second but from about 50 minutes onwards they just sat back and looked pretty comfortable.
