Just seen on Sky Bet we are joint 7th favourites with newly promoted Wigan at odds of 6/1 to get promoted next season.

The odds are a little short in my opinion.......for both clubs.

1 chance in 7 in getting promoted next season. Probably fair enough I'd say. Particularly if Chery is our 2010/11 Taarabt next season.

Oh bugger!

That means the club will be expecting promotion this season, when we were no where near good enough last season. Buckle in for another roller coaster ride.

Surprising odds for Wigan that. Probably to do with their recent Prem league residency. I would consider us at tens but nothing less I think.

6/1 to get promoted and anywhere between 20/1 to 33/1 to win the league. A lot of that I would say is based on our perceived spending power by some people. Some people still think of us as the world's richest club. I think our odds of winning the league are a true reflection of where we stand right now. There is no way we will win this league unless we have a huge amount of money spent on the squad to improve it. We all know that is not going to happen.

I think it's odd that anyone could consider us for promotion.
It won't happen this season coming.
We'll put a good push on and finish just outside the six.
We will have achieved building a good team for future considerations to the Premier league / Promise land.
Anything else is wishful thinking.

Will need to see what business is done during the summer before putting a fiver on us to get promoted. As it stands at the moment we should be good for a mid-table finish, relegation shouldn't be on the cards.

Not expecting anything this season. SLF already talked down any chances of promotion.

Agreed ............... so with such feeble management / outlook for the club, what the hell are we doing with a DoF??????????
Like it or not, were a small club, were not MU, Arsenal or Newcastle having been relegated.
Were not looking to bounce back asap.
Small clubs shouldn't have top heavy management ................. but we do.
We obviously spend a shed-load on management but pittance on players to build the club.
Ok, .............. I can see that, make perfect sense to me, if fact, I see no problems whatsoever!.
As you were ............................
