  1. Yes but It happens sometimes. Like when Saylor gives away pens on the odd occasion. You've just got to forget about it and move on. We still gave Saylor a good rating against Spurs after the pen he gave away. I know he did play a lot better than Raylor did today, but still, I'm not going to bash Raylor for that pen. The 2nd goal yes I'd criticize him for that, but everyone makes mistakes sometimes.

I still think apart from his mistake(s), he wasn't bad.

Are you the chubster who ate all the chips?
Barring a couple of moments when Ryan Taylor switched off I didn't think their was a great deal between us to be honest. It was a mistake to leave Micah Richards with oceans of space all day to exploit I thought but other than that Pardew couldn't be faulted. We had plenty of possession which you would expect but I thought Krul was well protected and didn't have a great deal more than Hart to do.
Definitely the best side we've played at home in the prem this season

Raylor wasn't as good getting forward today, but that might be of intimidation of Man City. I reckon Cabaye needs Tiote to play well tbh. When do you think he will come back?

You do realise this was his first Premier League start right?

And that it was away to the best team in the league.

Tash is too mean to buy chips at the game, he'd rather wait till he got home and get his ma to make some for him for free. He's still got his first penny.

Did you see Shola apparently yelling advice to Sammy whilst warming up?

And what was the fat guy chant?!

...but this is a thread on how well they played. You may as well just give him a 10 and say all the misplaced passes, unsuccessful tackles and headers "just happen sometimes."

Raylor was our worst player today, I still think he's alright but he was crap today. Went strolling out of position too many times as well, didn't exactly make things difficult for Richards.

Have to agree with HMT, Sammy was very good. I wouldn't say 8, i would put him on par with Benny at 7. His pace and direct running troubled City, hard thing to do by an experience player, let alone a 19 year old making his full debut. Very good debut.

  13. Yes, and as I've said about 3 times now, his overall performance wasn't bad! If he hadn't have made those mistakes I probably would have give him a higher rating. Of course mistakes should lower a players rating, I'm not denying that, but just because he made a ****ty error for that goal, doesn't mean we should give him a **** rating.

6.5, at the lowest a 6. Nothing below that.

Apart from the mistakes, I thought he wasn't great on the ball, didn't whip any crosses in.

Also, when Jonas ran into traffic, he was never in behind him to back him up (that's what simmo does well)

He was generally poor today, I would give him a 4.

There's ways of giving the lad lots of praise without going overboard, we all gave him enough praise earlier for his performance, so, this one time, I'm going to say it's appropriate. Don't take it to heart though <hug>

Completely agree with this. It would've been a goal either way, and never a red card because it wasn't deliberate. If you say he could've been sent off you could just as easily say the ref could've missed the handball and he'd have saved us a goal.

No excuses for the second goal though, total howler.
