People who say 'listen' before talking. The whole Aussie cricket team do it. Example ; " Listen, we knew it would be a a hard morning". Also one of Brownies old favourites of ' coming to the party'. He actually used that on SSN yesterday . I don't even know what it's supposed to mean ?
Saints have lots of cash to spend, we had lots of cash to find from nowhere whilst turning around the fortunes of a failing team. Both succeeded, but I think I could have got Southampton promoted from that League.
C/O ISTPLT above - brands of football (thanks). Football is football is football. Brands are Cadburys, Weetabix, Walkers Crisps ... oops maybe not the right place or time eh?
I'm sure I remember Browny describing Bullards upcoming return from his latest injury as a "mouth watering prospect" ... a bit like Opal Fruits or Rabies maybe..........
'EARLY DOORS' So what's that then, pre or post Light My Fire? Oh no, it's that door. It sneaked in before the house/factory etc was built around it. Early ****ing doors !!??
I miss Browny's cliches! Chomping at the bit, what is that all about? I understand what it means but in no way is it football related!
Impact sub! hate that, no just sub. At the end of the day John...................It gets dark you c***. The management speak one i hate now is "going forward". Think that Maguire used it in some City blurb. "At the present time Hull City have never been so financially stable, going forward. My last boss used it all the time.
I liked the late Eddie Waring's "He's gone for the early bath". Yeah, before you start, I know it's from Rugby League. It's still great.
Both have got their respective clubs back on their feet and geared towards a return to the top flight. Saints were in league 1 for a couple of seasons before they came back up, like ourselves they need a steady hand on the rudder and the rebuilding process didn't happen over night. So yes, you can look at it as them both doing a similar job. Adkins however has being blessed with more money and as a traditional big club they have the pulling power to attract players, hence why they are higher in the league.
Why do commentators (particularly on 5Live), when describing the teams' colours say (for eg) Hull City are playing from left to right wearing their familiar black and amber shirts, black shorts and black stockings. They are socks!!!!
Lester link to stockings. Does anyone remember that Keith Weller who played for Lester years ago. Not only did the jessy have gloves on (unheard of in those days) but he also had bloody stockings on. No - REALLY. Can't imagine a thick skinned (LMAO) bugger like Big Nige allowing that. Snoods maybe, stockings a definite NO.
When they cross the white line - no overtaking anyone then. He scores goals for fun - perhaps but they do get a bonus as well
