    It's been thrown out by the other PL clubs. So I suppose L1 clubs can go whistle now.

    Apparently none of the 'small 14' Prem Clubs felt there was anything in Project Big Six for them.
    Except being reduced to the 'small 12'.
    Self-interest wins the day.

    Now I hear they are all going to sit down and thrash out a rescue deal for the rest of the football pyramid.
    Nice of them to find the time really.
    After all we are only a month into the 2020-21 season, with lower league chairmen lining up to point out that dozens of Clubs in Tiers 3 to 8 and beyond are not going to survive until Christmas.
    Not like anybody saw this situation coming <doh>
    Well, nobody who matters :emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash:

    The so-called Champions League, which I never watch, has skewed everything. The money it brings in means the top clubs don't want the extra games, while the cannon fodder teams can't really wave goodbye to the revenue from the 4 games they would lose.

    When you put it like that, it seems a pointless competition with booby prizes. The whole system is beginning to sicken me.
