To answer the topic posed ‘Are we making progress under LR?’

Yes we are.

- Tightened defence - steadied ship
- Comfortable mid table finish
- Clear style, tactics
- Top half finish with potential to push for play-offs being a reasonable pre-season expectation
- Currently sat outside the play-offs on goal difference having had a tough opening set of fixtures

We are still working out how to win at home when other teams sit in but signs are there that this is coming. We’re so much more effective away from home because no home support will accept letting us dominate possession in their back yard.

Without a doubt the way we played v Southampton was a real step up despite the result of it. We followed that up last night. Let's follow it up again on Saturday
Full of ifs, buts and maybes but...

Traore scores against Leeds and we hold out for another minute against Saints and Norwich and we're 3rd.

Excluding Ipswich we've been well and truly in every game even if we're playing naff.

This for me is absolutely true, and the bit that's been frustrating. I feel like a little more bravery earlier in the season and we'd be well up there, high above expectations. I think we've learned some lessons from the Ipswich game based on the past couple of matches.

No, I'm responding to kettle calling pot.
-> Mature debate. Insults is your level.
Kinnel. Did you seriously just post that? Do you want us to post all the ones you've been dishing out! How big a hole are you trying to dig. Just give it up.
What a shame. This thread really was going well, with some mature debate despite obvious differences in opinion. Then MO rocks up with absolutely ludicrous comments and implied accusations.

So can you tell me what relevance a distant ex's indiscretions have in relation to the topic?

Re unconscious bias - You're making the implication. I'm just asking the question.

I found it funny that Greaves seemed to take it up the pitch easier than Vinagre has ever managed

Saved me typing. Thank you.

You know what, I started typing but thought '**** it, this is ridiculous'. Your comments were absolutely ludicrous and insulting. Pity you can't, as someone else posted, just hold your hands up and say "oops, sorry fellas, too much to drink there". What you are saying is not worthy of any more replies.

Funny how the reaction has been most voiciferous from exactly the quarters I expected isn't it?

First time was at Blakburn away, something said towards Seri. Wasn't sure who it was exactly but alerted steward anyway.
Then at Traore in the aftermath of his miss vs Leeds. Confronted the guy (who was with his 2 kids ffs) and emailed club with seat number etc..

A few years back in East stand I had to report someone who sat near me. He was constantly shouting stuff with racist undertones, and one day his son (probably about 10) jumped up and shouted 'you black b******' at an opposition player. He tried to play it off as if the lad was referring to the ref wearing black, even though they didn't at this point.

The poor lad never stood a chance
