FFS are you still persisting with this bogus racism claim?? TBH I was hoping you would come on & say sorry for the ridiculous statement boys, I was a little pissed
Been drinking? What is a meriticrachly? So, if you were picking a team you would not pick it on merit but other factors? Is greif worse serious than grief?
No statement was made. Simply asked a question cos the **** Rosenior taken from some (who seem to be spitting feathers now) goes way beyond results and performances.
I said just because white players get criticised doesn't mean racism doesn't exist. How's that agreeing with anything?
You're deliberately misquoting me to advance your usual load of right wing bile. Show me where I've said women are better commentators and show me where I stated anything about LR being black. I asked a question, but I arent at all surprised that those who reacted with hysterical outrage have done.
And I was saying how roseniors skin colour has nothing to do with our ****e home form being an issue and you said it’s a weird deflection and black people get unjustified abuse/criticism. How’s that anything to do with the posts about rosenior?
I said talking about Slater and Mccann as if criticism of them means racism doesn't exist was weird. That's all. No need to get your back up.
Right wing bile?Where? BTW, commentators does not require an apostrophe but aren’t does. What about your racist, ageist, misanthropic, fatist statement about you would rather have a female commentator than a white, fat 50 year old male?
Just reading through this thread, and I'm struggling to see the issue some are making of this statement. MO clearly isn't saying that all City fans disagreeing with Liam are racist. It reads to me like he's suggesting that that might be an opinion some of the more unhinged in our fanbase hold, and considering how racism is still somehow a way too common issue in this sport, it isn't a stupid assumption to make at all, as every club has those sort of ****s around. Some people on here however seem to have decided that means MO is calling them racist. Which he wasn't. Unless you're genuinely being racist and you're not liking being called out on it, though I don't personally think anyone here is in that group. But that doesn't mean some elsewhere aren't. Could it be worded better? Yeah, probably. But the mountain some are making out of this molehill just looks ridiculous to me.
I wasn't. Thought we played well for 75-80 minutes but Rosenior got his subs wrong and settled for a draw which let Southampton control the game and invited pressure.
Are you as daft as your comments make you appear?Of course football is a meritocracy. Which is why black players who make up only 3% of the population are so heavily represented at club and national levels. No one is daft enough to demand 87% of teams should be white and 10@ Asian.
It’s not you people getting there back up about, it’s MO accusing our fans of being racist because they aren’t happy with our home games and form. I only pointed you out as you seemed to be suggesting the same about our fans. If you weren’t then apologies. No one is saying racism doesn’t exist at all though, just that racism has absolutely sod all to do with criticism of rosenior.
I don’t think lots of City fans are racist (some, sure, not many) However there is a difference between overt and subconscious racism. It’s highly possible that Rosenior has come under more scrutiny because of subconscious character assumptions. It doesn’t mean that everyone who is doing so is racist but it is a subject I don’t think should be shut down as nonsense when it’s brought up.
