You have a problem with that then!

Too right... he's played 1 game... scored 1 goal... has already been feted by some as the new Michael Owen and now he's on the cover of the programme...

He's a kid... who had no pressure on him in his first match other than to go out and enjoy the day and do his best... he is now a 'cover star', with all the expectation that that bestows.

I think it's a very poor judgement by the club and the manager.

Other opinions are available.

Couldn't agree more. Comparing him to Owen after 75 minutes of football is ridiculous and is a comment made by ridiculus people! Come back in a few years with statements like that and then compare. Mounting the pressure on this kid is also wrong. Let him express himself on the pitch.

Mkting dept has done well to put our fresh young exciting star on the programme to sell tickets and programmes but
Our royal pana sponsors won't be that happpy!

Get it a rest the comparison is against Owen at that age and his debut nothing more
If you can’t see the same styles then you are blind... everyone starts somewhere and this lad may not even score again but on first appearances only his game is very much the same as Owens back then
Couple that with his small frame then it’s not rocket science .... both looking at them before they had kicked a ball they don’t look like footballers ... well not what the manual says anyway. That would be your manual of football of course Mr Robot

Didn't Manning appear on the front of a programme shortly after his first game last season?
Really don't get what the fuss is about....

Exactly. What's the harm in making a fuss of the lad?

Having said that, I thought he was more Bradley Allen than Michael Owen.
