If you like 19th century paintings and impressionism then definitely yes, The Louvre is almost too big you get overawed by it all! It is an interesting article and from a different angle, I am used to them just reeling of names of players from the academy.
Well if you go back to the BBC TV interview with Cortese you'll hear several Adkinisms. The one that sticks in my mind is when he talks about Adkins and the attitude he has brought since he came into the building. Now, that's an Adkinism, if not a well used one. Actually, it could be a Corteseism, because that's certainly where I first heard it. There's also the phrase a winning mentality, which appears to be used almost everywhere now, and seems to have originated with Alan Pardew, but has also been used publicly by Adkins. I think that's possibly a Corteseism because it has passed to Adkins. I must admit, I do find those trademark phrases interesting. BTW, great find, Godders. Jeremy Wilson seems to be Saints very own quality independent PR, at the moment.
Cortese said 'came into the building' after Adkins stopped saying it because his wife had ribbed him about it. It didn't sound natural for Cortese, whereas 'a winning mentality' has been common for some time in a business setting. Interestingly (well interesting to me), Cortese's accent has changed now with a bit of Southampton thrown in.
Only been here a year, but striker Alberto Seidi (19-yr-old) has been called up by Portugal U20s. He has, according to OS, scored 3 times for our Development Squad. I'm struggling to work out who has a real chance of breaking through into the 1st team...there's so many of the little blighters. p.s. can we have a whip round and buy Reeves a pair of shorts...not a pretty sight when training with the 1st team in, what looks like, underpants.
Yeah, I know it has been common in business. It was even in use when I did some retail management in the late 1990's. Must check out Cortese's accent. Love that. Where did you hear that..?
