Hi Ron . I looked at 7.20 am this morning. It now says 1.7mm Sat & 3 mm + on sunday ! Different every time we look !!!!
Its turned out to be a very weak Arc, Orfevre and Camelot are different class, if Camelot dosent run its going to be an absolute stroll for the Oriental Express.
An absolute crying shame that Nathaniel and Danedream don't run. They were the best measuring sticks for the rest to aim themselves at. I think Camelot must hold an absolute barnstorming chance now in this field.
RP reporting that Nathaniel had a temperature this morning so they took a blood test and he's "not quite right", which suggests a virus of some sort. Whether that puts him back in the frame for a crack at the Champion Stakes, who knows?
Potentially wins the Arc and goes to stud whereas I think if he doesn't run in the Arc he stays around for next season.
every time I put up a horse on here they get pulled out! Ok next on my hitlist - Camelot starting to look a very poor renewal now too
Am absolutely kicking myself for not taking the 25s available on Shareta straight after her Yorkshire Oaks win.
Not surprised they are not running Nathanial, very slow animal, I dont think he would have finished in the first 5 so would have been silly to run, there is a nice novice hurdle at Cheltenham at the Greatwood meeting, thats where I would be looking with Naff.
Is it too late to supplement? as there have got to be a few good horses worth having a go now it's so open. It's a very weak Arc now the first 3 favourites are out and maybe Great Havens would be worth a shot, Enke possibily. I really thought with Snow Fairy and Nathaniel it was coming to the UK. I actually wish they would let Frankel have a go, what a way to end his career and who in that field would get near him.
If I remember correctly from last year Masked Marvel was supplemented by the Gosden stable after Nathaniel was withdrawn because of the going. Their may be a chance that Great Heavens is supplemented; her next target was to be the F and M race at Ascot on Champions Day. Good to soft would suit!
