Ive just noticed this is on the transfer thread. Its not transfer news though???

Is that the only thread we are using to discuss things now or something?? I think we need to keep the board ticking over with new threads in all honesty instead of bombarding that thread with every bit of news. Keep it to transfer news only.

Likely to be fine. He’ll just have to isolate until a negative test. It’s far more likely a fit, professional footballer is asymptomatic than gets ill from it.

I know mate, its abit of a blow really i cant see him been ready for the first game now. I hope this isn't going to be another injury jinxed season
You say that but I got it a year past February and was actually running with it (didn’t know I had it as I had symptoms which weren’t listed as symptoms at the time”. Re covered really quickly and was back to full speed. It’s such a weird disease in that it affects some very minority and destroys others!

hopefully he’ll just have a minor strain like I seemingly did

Yes hopefully he's not poorly with it and he's able to do some work at home otherwise his fitness levels wont be great going into the new season.

Tell Jake Vokins that
Yeah but you’re picking out one random case.

The majority of footballers who test positive are completely fine. Of course there are anomalies but my statement was that Pritchard is likely to be totally fine and back in two weeks, which is statistically true.

I know mate absolutely. I’m a stat man as a job. I report on COVID for my organisation. This is why I hate the “numbers are going up”. We’re testing more and more people and the % of positive cases us no worse than it’s been since last year (in the regional bubble I report on) apparently nationally it’s come down. But they report on numbers rather than percentages.
Just that Vokins is the one we had which potentiially impacted us most (and sometimes a bit of a sarcy twat!!)
