Highly commendable, though we have been supporting our local NHS and good causes for years dude, our late owner Vichai has a wing of the Leicester Roal Infirmary named after him... not meant as a pissing competition btw. #givingbackalittlesomething .
Confirmation yesterday that all staff will be paid without scrounging off the government as well as supporting 3 charities including the Leicester hospitals and Age UK. Always looking out for the community
Wasn't expecting anything less tbh. The father set the legacy and the son worshipped his old man and wants to make him proud even now. For me, I'm particularly pleased that we have formed a partnership with Leicestershire & Rutland Age UK to support the welfare of the elderly. The lack of PPE for the carers in the care homes is absolutely shocking. It's as if we are taking the view that the residents are on their way out anyway ... and the safety of the staff there is not as important as the hospital personnel. A front line worker is a front line worker - nobody should be 'expendable'. Rant over
Watford have confirmed they are paying all staff They have handed over all the clubs facilities for Watford General Hospital to utilise including the stadium
IF this is not you Taking the pI$$ Then . sorry , but that's Rubbish . Liverpool Supporters and fans revulsion at their teams willingness to jump on any opportunity to save the Club money , is what forced their U-turn . BRB . Will you PLEASE bring back the Dislike button ?
Tottenham have reversed their decision to use the government's furlough scheme for some non-playing staff during the coronavirus crisis following criticism from supporters. On 31 March, the club announced 550 employees would take a 20% pay cut in an attempt "to protect jobs". But on Monday, a Spurs statement said non-playing staff will receive "100% of their pay for April and May". Only board members will now take salary reductions, the statement added.
Spurs announced their plans first. Their fans complained. Spurs did nothing. Liverpool listened to their fans and reversed their decision. Then Spurs reverse their decision. The timeline is fairly straightforward
It never occurred to Liverpool that this might be a **** decision ? Went with the " OOH We could save money here " …..
They underestimated how the UK considers footballers to be the only wealthy people in the country expected to be role models
