Tremmel didn't get any protection when holt did the exact same thing... Luckily no goal came, but you have to admit if michu's was a foul then Holt's had to have been....
Agree Norfolk. Said the same onSaturday but got shoot down, by Norwich fans saying Michu had his elbows up.
thing i have found over the years is that all you want is consistency, good or bad, then one knows what to expect when reffed by said ref, after a while you get to know his habits
Webb compounded the Michu decision/interpretation by missing the ball being moved 10 yards closer to the goal for the Snodgrass free kick. Picture of it in the paper today.
Evens out over a season. You got lucky with the goal disallowed against Liverpool and didn't get this one unluckily. How football goes. However, I watched your game and the first half you were as bad as any team I've seen this season so I would suggest, as a few of your more level headed posters have, that it would make more sense to be talking about that rather than a refereeing decision. After that first half you got what you deserved and over the 90 Norwich just about deserved it so I don't think you can have too many complaints really. Just learn from it and move on instead of blaming a referee's decision. If you play how you played in the first half than you deserve what happened to you. Its really as straight forward as that.
I agree with most of your post particularly the point that it was our horrendous first half display, and Norwich's fine performance, that cost us the points. That was nothing to do with the referee. The disallowed goal and the placing of the free kick, however, was down to him. But, as you say, that's part and parcel of the game. However, I disagree with your observation that things even out over the season. I've lost count of the number of players and managers who rubbish that particular view. As for discussing what went wrong and how badly we played, I think you'll find that there have been many posts on that subject because most of us saw it and were far from happy about it. As for your disallowed goal, how did we get lucky? There's no such thing as a little bit offside. Offside is offside, period, and replays showed it was. It's really as straightforward as that.
lets be honest the refs need help with all this cheating and play acting.....im not a fan of tv refs but meaning the game is being pushed more for tv than the fans in the grounds nowadays things must change and like i said they need help no 2ways about it. the games a joke gone
Quite right RB, sooner ref gets help against divers and cheats the better and the sooner results of a game can be returned to just playing football. I do feel the need for retrospective summary punishments. A siting committee should have access to all televised games and the committee can be called upon to review any 'iffy' play. They must have sufficient power to issue retrospective yellows, reds, fines and bans. I like bans, a cheat should be banned for a number of games for bringing the game into disrepute. This retrospective punishment should be highlighted on MOTD etc and the cheats humiliated in a cheat of the day section.
Feeling a bit chirpier now then are we out of the bottom half? Well done you! BUT offside is still offside so I understand!
