In the summer the media made out we was spending tons and tons of money. While yes we spent alot we didnt spend anything like the media made out. Jermaine Beckford was 2M and the media made out it was 4M. Matt Mills was 5.5M in the media but since then we have found out it was in fact 3.5M with 500K in add ons. Paul Konchesky was available for 1.5M but Liverpool cut the price by 70% after we was going to sign that South African defender. We know Kasper Schmeichel, Lee Peltier and Sean St. Ledger cost around 1M. And the rest was either loans or free transfer.

The media branded around we spent 15M when i dont even think we spent 10M

Schmeichel- 1M
Peltier- 1M
St. Ledger- 1M
Mills 3.5M
Konchesky- 450K
Pantsil- Free
Ball- Free
Fernandes- Loan
Johnson- Loan
Danns- Free
Nugent- Free
Beckford- 2M

Give or take on a few and it comes to just under 10M, nothing like what the media put out their

I'ts possible they were also trying to include the likely wages as part of their media strap line of the 'dirty foxes' tring to 'buy promotion' - it worked - just look at the vitriol we've had from certain other clubs and individuals...
