Are you serious, a Player who has 33 Argentina international caps and played in World cups , played 44 times for a top side in Serie A and also been here 3 years and he cracks when some one leaves. Then if that is the case with all his experience, get rid of him now. If he cant deal with a player leaving and I don't care who he is then he is no good to us and we might as well as sell him.
A very good partnership since Fernandez came to us has been broken . We have 3 CBs now duking it out for the 2nd CB spot that have had little to no expierence with us . It's going to take more than 3 games to get the central defence settled , and they will eventually IMO and Fernandez , with all the credentials you listed , will be front and center of that defence ....and yes ...I'm totally serious !
He is an international for **** sake, he was changing partnerships all the time at a higher level in international football. He is playing poorly because he is upset at Ash leaving then he is no good to us, players on his money have to adjust as every other club are managing to do., So how come others in the back 4 are managing to cope with the changes in our side, He also had a full pre season with out Ash there, he is paid a lot of money and his performances have simply been not good enough. What you have to do is stop making excuses for these people and they have to take responsibility for their own performances. he isn't 10 years old for **** sake and his best mate has just left his team.
Then Guidolin should have blocked the Ash move or come out and publicly say he wants an experienced defender.
