If Pukki's foot falls off then I guess he will, otherwise not a cat in hell's chance.
But it is nice to know that if/when we lose Teemu, we have a very capable young man to make the leap up to the first team a permanent thing, especially if we are back in the Championship

Idah scored the first with his right foot, his second with his left foot from 35 yards, just missed by a whisker with a header and then scored the penalty after being clean through. It was a fine team performance considering we made 8 team changes. I would have no problem with Idah starting at ManUtd if Teemu isn't fit. Stiepermann also had a good game as did Amadou, even though he was playing out of position. Hernandez used his pace well and scored a good goal.

I would imagine that he is likely to get a cameo appearance, if not at OT then very soon (Home to Bournemouth perhaps). I just don't see DF leaving Pukki out for an entire game unless his hand is forced with a bad injury that makes it impossible for him to play

They said on Final Score that Teemu not even on the bench because of a hamstring injury!

I also thought Idah was offside; Preston's second as well. And both by much more than an armpit. I think I prefer VAR to Championship linesmen.

"Norwich leave themselves so open when they lose the ball deep in their own half, with both full backs bombing forward" -- commentator on the feed2all stream I was watching. Could have said the same about losing the ball deep in the opposition half. 3:0 up against a pretty poor Preston team, surely we could have set out with real determination to keep a clean sheet in the second half and made something really useful of the game in addition to giving Idah a decent run out?

You really do come over as a miserable Moany ****er.

We are through to the next round after a tricky away fixture with a team with 8 changes and our 18 year old wonder kid got a hat trick .

We should of kept a clean sheet bla bla bla. :emoticon-0113-sleep

Sorry, but I disagree completely. The decisions may have been wrong, but at least they were instant and everyone knew where they stood. VAR is taking the joy out of football and even if it could be proven that the decisions after two minutes of looking at something from 15 different angles were more accurate (which I don't think can be proven), I'd still prefer bad decisions and the joy of knowing your team has scored to waiting for two plus minutes for the Wizard of Oz to decide whether he's going to allow it.

Thanks for the link, Idah's pace and composure look very good. We need to do better with defending corners!

Idah: "Todd Cantwell was put on penalties tonight but to be fair to Todd he let me take it to get the hat-trick, so I was just delighted."

Good job, Todd. <ok> (Glad it didn't backfire :)).

If you want proper examples of "miserable Moany ****ers" you should head over to the Pink Un forum Dunc. On one thread there is even a poster evincing nostalgia for the Hughton era .-- "Let’s be frank this season has been a disaster, when you look back at the Hughton era with fondness then you know we have problems".
I'd just like, sometimes, to see us take a 2--0, or even 3--0 lead in a game and be able to enjoy watching the rest of it in the knowledge that, bar divine intervention or some natural disaster, we have the match won. Wouldn't you, honestly? <cheers>
