Not yet. Usual hotel is sold out but am hoping there will be a few cancellations flying in this week as fans of other clubs drop out of the race
Excited for the game today but no nerves at all because anything that happens today is the cherry on top of a brilliant season. What will be, will be. Win, lose or draw, it doesn't matter, because we have a club to be proud of again. One that gives players and fans a sense of belonging. There's no amount of money can buy that and no amount of success I'd swap it for. I'm working today but I'll be finishing in time to watch the game and witness 6000 mackems cheering the lads on and giving them the biggest send off, no matter the result. Haway the lads!
Hope the weathers better than when we left the Lakes at 6.30 pouring down, at our coffee stop on Loch Lomand and it’s no better. Hope the fans going have taken a raincoat
Safe travels to the lucky ones with tickets for today the majority of you’s have put some hard miles in this season and been treated to some great football one last effort one last win COME ON
Nervous today but only through excitement. Think the lads might turn these over and they deserve at least one last big day on the road!
No ticket for me sadly. It was always a bit of a longshot today and plenty much more deserving than me have their tickets and will do the team and club proud as always. It will be the TV, packet of custard creams and a pot of tea. Watch out though if we do it, that malt will be out again... Now to pass the time, jobs in the garden.
Safe travels to all of you beautiful people that are Sunderland Supporters. Sing as loud as you ever have Hawaaaaaaaaaay!!!!
Sunderland have produced an excellent run of form of late, going eight games unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship to force ourselves back into contention for a top-six place and a shot at the Play-Off semi-final. With one last Championship game remaining, we take on Preston North End on Monday (KO 3pm) and the mission is clear – we must win, and hope results elsewhere lean in our favour Below are the complete permutations of the final day, and what it would take for Tony Mowbray’s men to snatch a slot in the top six For Sunderland, our task is clear – we have to win. Anything less than victory over Preston will not be enough. A win at Deepdale for Tony Mowbray’s men will be enough, BUT only if Millwall fail to win against Blackburn Rovers, OR Coventry City lose at Middlesbrough. A single-goal defeat for Coventry and a single-goal win for Sunderland would put both sides on 69 points with both goal differences on +11, BUT the Lads would finish higher on goals scored. If the Lads win and Millwall do not, this will be enough, due to our superior goal difference over the Lions. This is UNLESS West Bromwich Albion win by five or more goals away at Swansea City. Blackburn Rovers’ late equaliser against Luton Town last Monday keeps them in with a slim chance, but due to their significantly inferior goal difference, they must win at Millwall and hope both the Lads, and West Brom, do not win. All eyes now focus firmly on Monday afternoon, with the must-win mission underway.
'If the Lads win and Millwall do not, this will be enough, due to our superior goal difference over the Lions. This is UNLESS West Bromwich Albion win by five or more goals away at Swansea City.' Excellent post. If we win by a few West Brom would need to score more.
