What you have said is obvious
Seems me to that the owner is hanging TM out to dry, and wishes to replace him
Not getting a proper striker or two, is really puzzling, or is it ?
It is either done on purpose, or negligent

He could've sacked him any time he liked without 'hanging him out to dry' and therefore harming our chances of promotion ...

... it would be totally infantile and, frankly, ludicrous.

Well if it is not being done on purpose, it is negligence
This situation has been going on for so long it is almost comical
A team without a striker ( such an obviously key position) at any level of the game is bonkers, inexplicable

Today raised eyebrows. And a defeat.

    Won't be much more slack.

Without Stewart's injury none of these conversations would ever happen ...

... and the question of a second, third or fourth striker rendered idle chit chat.

We haven't had a suitable replacement that we own for over 18 months mate.

    It's not acceptable.

reet, kept away after the final whistle, wanted to give myself a bit of time afore jumping in like a feckwit.

'flicked through' the previous posts, our basic play has been mentioned a lot and i would have to agree that we were slow and steady, unlike the faster one touch moves we got used to last season and no, it is not because amad is not here.

going to start with the back line and am wondering how we seem to have a 'back two', there are times to push forward and times to stay back but we seem to have mixed some of them times up, love onien but he is not a central defender he is a lad that does the job he is asked to do to the best of his ability, he does not have the ability for that role and while baath is still in the squad he should be there with ballard, they worked very well together.

midfield, dan neil should be (currently) the cdm and ekwah should be a box to box player, neil looked like a fish out of water many a time last season then kind of took over the evans slot and struggled at first before coming to terms with what is needed there, i honestly believe that position needs more 'expertise' than almost any other and for a young lad he was doing fine, dack is showing he will be handy but much like hemir he needs help from the wings and today, for all they ran round losing their markers they (again) struggled to deliver...they need to get back to crossing sooner whether it is along the ground or in the air, much better when they mix it up more.

second game in which they looked fairly good and in charge only to get hit with an 'against the play' goal from a lucky deflection, second goal today came from a lucky rebound to their player and i have said it for years, we rarely seem to get those lucky bounces but it has to change at some point and plenty of minutes to play yet.

after last weeks performances by the officials we seem to have just dropped back to normal, hume was sent off for a fairly 'regular' tackle and for kicking the ball away yet today we see onien taking a blatant elbow to the chin and i think it was cirkin got exactly the same done to him a little later, also saw one of their lads simply dive into one of ours (cannot remember who it was now) only the first one got a card in the end but it really should have been a red.

Just got back and thought it was another result we didn't deserve to lose.

Not sure how they didn't go down to 10 men for both forearm smashes on O9.

Things are bouncing for the opposition and not us I'm afraid.

I'd be worried if the pattern of play and commitment wasn't there.

While true equal could be said if we’d signed sufficient strikers last summer (and/or the window before in league one) and last January and this summer. People would shut up if we have the manager the essential tools he needs. I know I would.

This is the critical issue mate, and something you'll no doubt disagree with because it sounds harsh.

But I'll say it anyway, whatever flak comes my way.

Saying 'it's unacceptable' sounds fine but it's nonsense. You, I and everyone else have absolutely no option but to accept it. We don't get to reject the situation other than by refusing to support the club and going to the games.

We may not like the situation, I certainly don't, but I accept the situation and nothing changes for me. If we sign Jebbison, Cannon and a top foreign striker I'll accept that situation as well.

In reality your non-acceptance is only relevant in your mind.

No offence meant mate, I mean that.

That’s exactly the way I see following Sunderland, it’s my club I love them and back in the day a loss would really effect my week, as you get older it doesn’t matter as much but still stings. I always see the best in Sunderland and always will.
Just pisses me off why people always want to have a pop or slag people off for being positive it’s just ****ing weird imo I follow Sunderland for fun aswel as loyalty.

Just got back. Will take my time to give a response.
One thing was the tackle on Cirkin in the second half a penalty. Couldn't fully tell from my angle.

Personally speaking, I'd be saying exactly the same. Even in your theoretical scenario and let's even say we were 10 points clear at the top of the league, if Stewart got injured and the manager opted to play no recognised strikers in the next game through lack of options, there would still be serious alarm bells ringing for me.

    Well said bob

We are all annoyed at the start of the season weve had but personal comments against each other is childish as f**k

We wont all agree with each others opinion, be boring if we did tbh but lets not cross any lines n get personal with each other
