Exactly the point I was making,Mick's legacy is every bit as damaging as Hurst's.

Absolute horse **** about Mick's legacy being as damaging as Hurst. Never read such rubbish in all my life.

    Sure, Hurst lost certain players.

He then signed player upon player upon player. Badly.

Maybe 7 of the lineup WERE Mick's players. Kind of emphasises just what a **** job Hurst did, considering he signed over 10 players that ONLY four of his crap could get into the line up.

But sure lets blame Mick for Hurst's absolute rubbish of a ' job ' .

Hurst was never going to build a winning side from the squad he inherited in one sell-to-buy transfer window. We've now rolled the dice at a precarious time and so far it has backfired spectacularly.

When we get a manager in who can get us promoted to the Premier League with no resources we can say that these managers were all at fault, but I think it's pretty obvious that's never going to happen.

Well, he can go and manage a proper football club next, whilst for us the nightmare continues.

Maybe so - hopefully he'll learn in the future with the glaring mistakes he's made here.

    I thought we'd be bottom 8 sure - didn't think we'd be THIS.

Yep it hurts, I just hope that a) Evans learns from this that you pay peanuts, you get monkeys; b) that we can pull off a miracle and survive and that c) Norwich's momentum is somehow derailed.

Don't their wheels often fall off after Xmas? I'd be interested to learn how they've turned it around so spectacularly as they looked bang average when we played them earlier in the Season.

Isn't it the whole butterfly effect? One winning or equalising goal can change the next game and so on.

For us, we can look at the Rotherham game as a similar defining moment but with the momentum in the other direction.

Just watched the Quest show from yesterday and found Holloway’s continued reference to Town fans getting over Lambert’s past links to Norwich incredibly irritating.

It doesn't matter now but don't think it will help when the fans turn, it'll make the situation a lot worse.

What I found irritating was Holloway referrencing a “problem” where, for the vast majority of us,there is none.I’ve not the slightest doubt that if/when things go tits up,it will be used as a stick to beat him with!
I think at present most of us are realistic/fatalistic enough to appreciate someone of Lambert’s standing taking on such a basket case, sod his history and if he does in fact dig us out of this hole his history adds to the kudos.

It is what it is, no-one's first choice but beggars can't be choosers. And you're right. No-one at Town gives a **** about the Norwich-era right now. Bigger fish to fry.

Lambert is a professional whose allegiance is with his current employer, just like every manager.

Really disappointed with Lambert's post-match interview, I always found Hurst's conferences so refreshingly honest. Echoes of Mick's fantasy press conferences where good, mediocre or poor we were 'excellent'.

People can say we need the manager to talk like this for players' morale, but I think they are a bit more intelligent than that.

You realise,Yorkie, that if he didn't talk about the poor little kittens in this way they'd all throw their toys out of their prams and he'd "lose the dressing room"<doh>

More likely to lose half the squad to a vomiting bug listening to that sickly bullshit every week.

Well, refreshing is not the word I’d use when referring to Hurst.

Lambert wouldn’t have been my first choice but I like what I’ve seen so far.
