He's been talking about goal music, I ask you, goal music, ****ing hell, how do we get this bloke sacked?
We were planning on just signing loans this January, the money for the permanent deals we're now doing is coming out of the summer transfer budget.
OLM said about they has been no approach for Mclean which is strange considering what Bruce said after the Blackpool game
Can't see owt wrong with a bit of 'goal music' Lambo, think about it, if FC signs on the dotted then the only appropriate tune after each one he knocked in would be Starman
NT says transfer budget for January was for loan signings. Any permanent deals (eg Meyler) coming out of Bruce's summer budget.
He's still on, more a guest on the show than an interview and you can text in to ask questions. So far: Been no contact for him with any club over McLean, thinks he doesn't really fit our style of play but that there's plenty of teams he could work well in. Also said if Millwall did come in for them we'd have to ask ourselves if we really wanted to help another team in the promotion/playoff race. Someone asked about goal music (please don't do it) and he said his job was to ensure fans had the matchday experiance they wanted (also why they've brought back Tyger Tyger). Goal music is a tough one because it splits opinion so much and it's probably quite an even mix. He's looking to restart the FLC, didn't use the exact term but said he wants a representative group (season ticket holders, forums etc) to meet with the club regularly to discuss these kind of things because that's what he's done with customers in his previous businesses.
That's exactly what he meant. He wants to provide other things going on before and after the game like an American sports match to try and get people to stay a bit longer and make a day of it. I told him only last week that goal music and drums were out of the question
I hope he does meet with fans regularly because I'm sure the ones he does meet will not want goal music!
With the original FLC there was a season ticket holder from each stand, supporters club, co-op, and people from the biggest forums (AM, CI, OWS etc). If they go the same way again we should really be looking to push this forum as one of the ones to be included. It must be one of the biggest now, it's certainly at least on a par for size with the old OWS board that had a rep.
I already tell him what's said on here and I'll be a part of this 'action group' when it's set up. Don't worry
