Do you think McNally got home this evening, put his feet up, gave a long sigh, took a sip of his favourite tipple and thought to himself please log in to view this image What a goddam legend.
I think he is a good manager for you, I think you are in good hands, hopefully you can keep a good amount of players and get a few new ones and get a great finish again.
Thanks for the confirmation Superman. I agree that the internal debt is not an issue, in the sense that it doesn't reduce the amount available for team strengthening and club development generally. But I suspect it does still come into play if the club is seeking new investment, as I believe remains the case.
Does all the debt have to be paid this year Supers? Why couldn't we reduce the payments to over say 3 years and still spend well on transfers to progress..
yep, all got to be paid end of this season. they can't change it (they paid est £5m last season towards it) - it was part of the agreement which kept the club running three years ago. our board said that if we were in the premier league during the 2012-13 season, all the debt would be paid off in full, guaranteed. our board are sticking vigorously to their word. might give us more leeway in the future to negotiate with if ever required (future ground development etc) if we are in their good books
Fair enough. Hopefully it works out and we stay up this season then we really are in a strong position.
yes. we'll be debt free regardless of our divisional status at the start of the following season but as you say, staying up next term would really be a catalyst to bigger and better things
