Another example of people not forming there own opinions, and just listening to TV pundits. Mata had a quiet game by his standards, and there were plenty of other players who outshone him.

You guys did outplay us in the 2nd half, but it wasn't because of Mata, Hazard was your best player 2nd half

 

2 different players, Carrick is more of a holding player, whilst Mata is a number 9, and despite Andy Townsend's outrageous opinion Carrick had Mata under control the whole game. Carrick is the best holding man in the league by a country mile, whilst Mata is behind the likes of Rooney and Bale in terms of number 9

Mata isn't a number 9 you absolute buffoon. In fact, neither is Bale. Thinking about it Rooney probably isn't either!

 

I don't watch the game with commentary on ITV, same with the pre match stuff. Adrian Chiles doesn't know anything about football either. That's from my opinion, not because of Townsend FFS.
