I think United will be comfortably better than Arsenal next season. Whether or not they can compete with Chelsea and £ity remains to be seen, and that is were Mr Dodgy Barnet is going to be judged.

Is it me, or does this seem a very heavy transfer period, given we are still in July! Only 6.5 weeks to go!
Ha, not quite, but we're way better than last season on paper. We may have looked **** last season but if you take a closer look I think you'll find we were even worse.
Of course, we have also signed that lad.......erm, from Celtic..., you know...... Matthews, that's him. Untouchable

Apparently, Fabian Delph is blaming 'emotion' for his remarkable U-turn in deciding to dump Villa and join £ity. What's the betting that this sudden outburst of 'emotion' was not entirely unconnected with having a £160,000 pw cheque waved in front of his face?
That's what he means, though, NSS! When he saw the size of the salary cheque, he had an emotional outburst, during which the words, "Villa and its fans can go and **** themselves!" played a very important part.
Benteke moving probably hasn't helped. Delph shouldn't get too much stick. He could've gone for nothing.
It's not the moving to £ity that has caused the offence, it's the fact that the bloke came out an expressed his undying love for the club and swearing to fans that he will stay. To decide to move a mere (was it?) 5 days after making such promises really does highlight the degree to which this is all just a game to the modern footballer, and that he has absolutely no empathy, whatsoever, with the ordinary fan. Move and take the Devil's shilling - we all expect that to happen, none of us are, any longer, naive - but, for the love of God! don't tell us you love us, and then treat us like idiots!
