Losing games by the odd goal is relegation football. We will always be suspect while we have a weak midfeild and poor central defenders.
We are staying up. There, I've said it. My blood runs blue and white and I just feel we have enough about us to stay up. Cisse, has two more games out then he will come back ready to score the goals to keep us up. Whatever we hae done this season, win, lose or draw, we have always been a "work in progress". Norwich and Swansea had boards that supported them - we had two (3 if you include Paladini) deadweights around our next from the moment we went up. You have to wonder jus how far a drfit we would be now if NW had walked after that 4-0 defeat at Bolton. We have some world class players at LR, better players than we have had for a long long time. The just need (1) time to gel and this break will help, and (2) a chance to reflect whether they want "relegation / relegated on their fooball CV" We all know that there are players currently at the club that will be gone in the summer and more will arrive. Let's just sing our hearts out supporting our boys and keep on believing we are staying up.
Completely agree with most of what u say ninj."We are staying up",mmm dont think so, to many points dropped and not enough games left to save us.
We can feel bad and beat ourselves up for the next two weeks, but what good will that do? I felt bad about watching most of that game as anyone. In fact I got quite fecking angry. Feeling ****ty for the next two weeks is pointless. I shall be praying that we beat Fulham on retribution day. If we can do that, there is hope. If we don't, I feel that my clacker muscle will fail and that all hope is lost. But between now and then, the lads have a nice sunshine break, a bit of team bonding and Hughes & Co will get to work. We will be back, stronger, fitter and more confident for the Fulham game. We will win it. Of that I have no doubt. Hughes's teams only get better. With that, we have hope. If we don't have hope, then we have nothing.
For what it's worth I still think we're better than Wolves, Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan. Some rank defending has cost us today but I think Taiwo will get stronger with every game, Onuoha looks a decent player and Hall will put enough effort in to earn himself a new one-year deal before collapsing and being put down. Between Zamora, Helguson, Cisse, Taarabt, Mackie, Traore and SWP there's enough goals and creativity in the team. I know it doesn't look great now but we just have to be as good as the equally underperforming teams below us which I think we will do just about.
Disgraceful to suggest we will go down until we are down . Championship players become premiership players every season and vide versa The Mackie doubters should hold your heads in shame Norwich fans having a dig ... I applaud your team and I do Swansea as you have kept your soul whereas we have had a few problems I am sure that you can see that any team 8th or below could be sucked in at anytime Stoke are the current sinkers how far will they sink ?
Agreed. We'll be okay, just need to have a good training camp in Portugal and come back rejuvenated. We're not even in the relegation zone yet people are writing us off!
Looks like this board is split fairly evenly, typical QPR bipolar. Just relieved that I am not part of a tiny minority of optimists believing that all is not lost. Next two weeks will be very dull - no games, no transfer window, just gossip, opinions and speculation, potential for bitter disagreements huge....brilliant.
Championship. We've just lost two of the easiest games in what is a very tough run in. If we'd have had this squad together for a proper pre-season, we'd be up there with Norwich and Swansea.
Norwich and Swansea are playing championship players, more that us actually and apparently we had the better championship players being champions
