Because he does not play Champions League, the biggest stage of all for all the best players and clubs, Europeans do not get to watch his performances week in week out.

There is a world outside England and the Premier League. Spanish and Italian fans do not necessarily spend their lives watching the Premier League.

And the best players play at the best clubs and win trophies even in England. Hence RVP player of the Year not Suarez last season

 

You forget the fact he won things like player of the tournament at the Copa De America etc.

He's world class - and people all around the world know that. It seems that a small minded wum from Chelsea thinks differently, but oh well that's not at all surprising.

He's a very good player but to become a Premiership great like Drogba, Henry, Cantona, RVN, Ronaldo, etc, he needs to win trophies.

To become a European great, he needs to showcase his skills and thrills in Champions League every season
