Fulham been picking up the odd point. Could do with a point or 3 ourselves!

What’s happening at the top of the league

Didn’t expect anything today but didn’t expect Fulham, Burnley or Huddersfield to get anything either.

Massive games soon with Huddersfield playing both Fulham and Burnley soon.

I felt 18 points at halfway would be a good start. We need 36 I think. Still, we may get lucky. The bottom 7 are all capable of losing to anyone!

Still reckons it’s 3 out of 4 to drop with one of those staying up with the lowest ever points tally.

Huddersfield have 3 of those teams to play in consecutive games<yikes>

    Hopefully.
Hammers seem on a good run.
Just hope they keep beating those around us.

Of the bottom 7 clubs from which the "trapdoor trio" will certainly come, the current bottom 3 look clear favourites to me. A lot will depend on the January window acquisitions all round, but from where we are now after half a season, they are easily the worst of the pack.

Palace are a quality side and I'd be very surprised if they don't even finish higher than they are now.

Newcastle have Benitez (at the moment anyway) and that could be enough to keep them safe despite his negative media interviews.

Southampton were in my original drop trio before the season started along with Huddersfield and Fulham. The sacking of Hughes and the appointment of the Austrian bloke may do the trick, but from last night's game they're nowhere near good enough at the moment. They could easily stumble again after the Alpine gloss has worn off.

As for us, well if guts will always win out over quality, then we'll get another go up here next season, but it may take a chunk of Tan's wallet to convince me.

The 3 below us are pants.

Burnley are easily the worst side in the division - I'll say it again - HTF did they beat us at the CCS?

The alleged Ranieri Leicester magic will be difficult to repeat at Fulham - they are all over the place and look to me to be going nowhere but down.

Huddersfield are a tough nut of a side and I like Wagner, but without Mooy until February they could slip behind too far to recover.

    Fair analysis there OS.

Our home form is pivotal. An away win to supplement good home form would help.

I am not expecting anything out of next 2 games before the massive game v Huddersfield

Well 18 after 20. Not bad st all. 36 will do me for the season. January could be a telling month. I don't think we will be adding much. No point spending stupid money at this point. Hopefully the lads can add 6 to 8 points in January. May pass Newcastle on the table.

I'm with you on that Sparkey.
Yesterday was a big win for us, keeping us clear of the bottom 3, but also keeping us in touch with the 3 who were above us at the start of yesterday. Don't want them pulling away again.

Watching the Saints/Citeh game and Man City were coasting - all over Southampton. One lapse and the buggers equalised and they had their tails up.

Thank goodness they conceded an own goal and Aguerro got another. Half time Saints 1 - 3 Citeh

At least Southampton lost at home but unfortunately Burnley beat West ham.

Just a thought because the Hammers have lost - can we catch them and get into the top half?...<whistle>

    Bright spots for Tuesday.

Kane has never scored against Cardiff nor, I believe, at CCFC. I think we are the only Prem club he has not scored against.
