Watford, great to see them punching above their weight, offers encouragement to us. Where did it all go wrong for West Ham United? West Ham making us look the business Wink! Saying nothing pal?
Not sure about the timing of this break. On the one hand we should have Murphy, hoilett and gunnar fit at the end of it. On the other hand it would be nice to look to build on a good performance on Sunday though the opposition doesn't get any easier. At least arter won't get booked this weekend, not even for Ireland.
What do Tomlin and Pilkington do all day, picking up huge wages? Turn out for the Development side, train with the big boys, confidence could get destroyed! What if no one comes for them in January? Pay off their contracts? Why are only 25 allowed in PL? Brexit allowing, is it not depriving a person the ability to work under European rules? Fug nose?
Probably not even training with the big boys as not part of the squad. Could be used as static, lifelike dummies for first team squad to dribble and pass around? Harsh I know but as proven Championship players they must have been offered deals by other clubs provided they reduced their pay demands. To be honest I'm surprised they haven't been paid off already. I think Pilks could have been treated better having been with us for 4 years and done all that was asked of him including playing mostly out of his normal position. However, that's football.
Watford’s bubble burst? Mourihno’s job safe for a while. West Ham excellent win today. Bournemouth destroyed Leicester. Fulham put to the sword Wolves expected win v Burnley who must be seen as a relegation rival. Palace relied again on Zaha with Huddersfield also a relegation rival. Although Newcastle lost they have played a lot of the top teams now. Expect them to come good. Liverpool look awesome. Spurs not so, especially at the back. But they’re still frightening when on the attack. Can’t separate Soton v Brighton tomorrow. This division is scary. Much more so IMO than last time with several of the teams then a lot weaker whereas now only a handful look vulnerable.
Whether or not you like the guy, I can't help feeling he gets singled out more than any other manager. Perhaps he brings it on himself, but the rules seem a little different for him. Jose Mourinho will vigorously contest his FA charge for alleged abusive language in Manchester United's win over Newcastle, Sky Sports News understands. The United boss had until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge and will request a non-personal hearing after comments he is alleged to have made towards a camera after the 3-2 victory against the Magpies at Old Trafford in October
Hard to see how he survives. He had us playing some great stuff in the Championship and for the first few games this season, but it seems to have deserted us. We seem to have had a real arrogance with the players we signed (a bunch of players who either aren't fit (Mawson), have never played in the PL (Seri, Anguissa) and older egos (Schurrle)), expecting them to integrate immediately in a very tough league. Our players may be better on yours on paper (arguable, on recent performances!), but your team spirit is worth it's weight in gold.
With hindsight it did seem strange to spend so much money so late in the window and expect the new players to gel straight away. But having seen FFC crush Burnley and look good at Brighton and other games it is difficult to comprehend the recent collapse. Next game is Liverpool away isn’t it; it never rains but pours.
Watched this guy, Virgil Van Dijk play an immense game on Saturday, nearly scored a hat trick! How NW had the audacity to say Bamba was better quality seems laughable! A word from “the load” His tongue was firmly up his arse!
Strange that we were at opposite ends of the summer window dealings but we both find ourselves propping up the table at the moment. Who was right? Well it would seem the answer is us as it cost us very little money to be rubbish in this League whereas it's cost you £100M. On the other hand if we'd spent that sort of money I doubt we'd be down here now but who knows? It's a funny old game - unfortunately it's not a game anymore up here amongst this lot. Although we all turn out to watch our clubs on the pitch, this is a cold hard business now and there's a price to pay - maybe Slav will have to pay it.
Huddersfield good value for their win. Wolves no doubt will sort themselves out by the time Friday comes along. Terrible weekend for the City. Suppose prefer Newcastle to win tomorrow.
