This year is a dichotomy. After getting us promoted by putting the same team out week after week, we now have "tinkerman 2 - the selectors revenge!"
So Fulham lose again, as did Huddersfield...and Southampton and us. The bottom three all settled down and await big chopper? Southampton can’t believe their luck, with our last three results. Should have been expecting 3/4 points from those games to keep it open! Fug,Fug and Fug again! Fug, Fug, Fug
Wolves goal against Chelsea today was so like the goal they scored against us last week. Lets hope City perform as well as Wolves when we meet Chelsea in three weeks time.
Just watching the second half of Man City v Schalke. Bit one sides. However, a certain Guido Burgtaller playing for Schalke. Remember him? Wonder if Ole will want to hook up with him again? Take him to Utd!
Well that couldn't have finished any better - a Leicester goal in the last minute to win the game. Burnley are well within our sights now - all we have to do is beat Chelsea to go above them.......
Watched the game online this afternoon. Burnley had a man advantage all game and had no idea how to play through 10 men - they tried to go over the top with high balls to Wood and Crouch. A big side but no class and it showed. Brendan Rogers has as much to do with taking all three points as the Leicester players who worked so hard for the side on the pitch. Soaked to the skin, he organised his troops defensively from the touchline and broke for the winning goal. Burnley getting nothing from that game could be so, so important for us. It means it's really in our own hands again.
Fair play sparkey. You called it weeks ago that Burnley were within our reach. Still all to play for and important not to get down in the mouth if the games against the big boys don't go so well.
Clingo, I've thought and said from the start that Burnley were a very poor side this season - probably one of the strongest physically in the division but technically worse than us. How the hell we lost to them at home I don't know. They've picked up some unexpected points recently to keep them ahead of us beating Spurs who should have blitzed them, and also Brighton who were all over them the other week but somehow lost the game - that was a travesty. Like I said it's down to us now. Before the season started I predicted the trap door 3 if we weren't on it to be Udders, Fulham and Soton - I'll happily take 2 out of 3.
