Thats not whats written here !!!!! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-plan-surprise-move-arsenal-1844645
Would love him but don't need him got other areas to strengthen 25mil isn't a lot in the prem! Jack Rodwell on loan and Dorrans are better value for money to bolster our midfield! That could be done for 4mil
sky transfer odds have us as outsiders for four players...Sinclair, Carroll, Charlie Adam and Neville. jck
Charlie Adam is an interesting one. I thought about him before. If you think back to that season he had with Blackpool in the prem, he was outstanding. They pretty much based their midfield around him and he bossed the show with those passes he can hit, At Liverpool they just didn't use him at all well. To me Adam would be worth a crack if we were going to let him be the play maker. Carrol and Neville....One is too expensive and inconsistent, the other one can't run faster than me!
Bit of 2 + 2 = whatever the **** the lazy journo wants Ramsey is pretty regular first team in a CL ever present team with the best years of his career in front of him. Wages, Fee and current ambition are all out of our league. As Jck says there'd be better ways for us to use the money too.
Tom Heaton, anyone? I know he left to get 1st team football, but he might be tempted to act as PL back up if you gave him the 'cup slots'.
Here's my opinion; Marshall - Amazing - 28 and entering his peak, will earn lots of plaudits at PL level Taylor - Matured into a brilliant, consistent LB Hudson - Leader, captain- brilliant and committed but starting to hit his thirties Turner - Really rate Big Ben, next season will be a good test McNaughton - CCFC legend, loved and adored by fans - not sure if he can step up? Connolly - Great all rounder, nothing brilliant but never bad - good back up next year? Whitts- Went off the boil at the end of the season, as much of a hero he may be - I'm not sure I can see him being brilliant next year (sorry) Kim- Wow, what a bright spark, could light up the league next year - I think we have something special Mutch - Brilliant, turning into a good player, lots of injury trouble though Gunnarsonn- Fantastic holding midfielder, good getting forward, good throws- will he step up? Im sure he will Bellamy - We are blessed to have him, he might play a lesser role next year, but quality doesn't lie Noone - Too lightweight for Premier League? Hope he proves me wrong - great feet Campbell - I'm backing him to tear up the PL... I genuinely think he will be brilliant Mason - Too lightweight? Hasn't played enough this year - as brilliant as he has been he doesnt scream PL player Gestede- As above - love the guy though Maynard - Unknown enigma at the moment, still better to have him than not to have him - could be good Long and short of it- looking to support our current squad as much as possible; 1 Centre Back 1 Wing Back - (left and right sided) 1 Ball-playing Central Midfielder 2 Tricky Wingers with pace and penetration 1 PL standard target man (Would cut arm off for AC but no chance in hell) 1 All round striker (Someone like Grant Holt / even Rodriguez?) That's seven, and me trying to be realistic... Then again, I think we could be offloading a few players (Helgusson, Lappin, McPhail etc) We've had worse things to worry about- I can hardly believe it's happening at last!
Neville would struggle with the energy levels MM demands and it's not like he's got Giggs type skill levels to fall back on! Le Fondre adds nothing to the front players we already have. 8-1 is only a 'it's not a ridiculous idea' price anyway. When players get actually linked you'll see those prices get to 6/4 and shorter.
Sure, it is too soon for much to be known and those odds don`t mean much. It is reported we will not be looking at big names wanting big money. By the way Bellamy suddenly went to 1-3 before he first came to us on loan. jck
Just having a browse around boards and noticed a thread on the Swansea board regarding Andros Townsend. Apparently there's a £5m price tag on him and in my eyes that's a bargain.
Dirk Kuyt? What do you make of that? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-consider-return-dirk-kuyt-1853465
Kuyt would be a fantastic signing for us. He's definitely a Malky type player - non stop running and getting and always involved. He'd add a lot of punch up front - something we've been sorely lacking.
He'd certainly be someone to get on the end of Bellamy's approach work. WOuld be a useful squad player.
How about Nick Powell ex Crewe, on loan from Man U --MM's best friend, Sir Alex, might oblige, so Powell can get some game time ?
