Iwas thinking the result to be shown live, if the game carries on and hawkeye says it was a goal then the game is stopped and goal awarded. Did not realise it only takes a second, cricket takes a good 15 seconds.

It's a bloody waste of money. I sit virtually on the goal line in the Kingsland and I always have my mobile. I am quite happy to stand up and give the ref the thumbs up anytime we are attacking the Northam to indicate a goal or a corner to us.

Good..! Hawk-Eye is the only system tested in action throughout many sports. Fifa went for a new German entrant called GoalControl [not GoalRef] which uses a camera system like Hawk-Eye. I have already suggested that I think they hung about to wait for GoalControl to get their act together. The PL have advocated Hawk-Eye for some time and it's good that they've stuck by the British system. Hawk-Eye will go from strength to strength because of this decision.

BTW, it takes Hawk-Eye half a second. The German system takes longer.
