Dzeko for £14M, bargain, best bit of business in this window for me.
They did, James Ward-Prowse did the interview for us in front of the Chapel Stand.
Good idea, but can't see other teams giving permission. A testimonial is one thing....a chance for Saints to puff their chests...can't see that.It can't have escaped anyone's notice that Wayne Rooney played for Everton the other day, during a testimonial for Duncan Ferguson [that obviously took some time to arrange]. So here's an idea. We get a tribute match organised for one of the anniversaries of the resurrection of Southampton FC, which is around the 8th of July, now just over 6 years ago. But here's the thing - we invite back all the players, still plying their trade, who have been academy graduates and went on the become professional footballers.
Just imagine if it came to pass say, for the 7 or 8th anniversary, and taking to the field, in their Saints kit were Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, etc... along with Dexter Blackstock, Leon Best, Andrew Surman, Nathan Dyer, [the list goes on and on]. Wouldn't it be a great advert for Saints football and a great bit of symbolism that home made players are possible.?
Jack Wilshire out for 2 months with broken ankle.

Arsenal suffer a lot from injuries...just like ManU under Van Gaal.
lots of questions a few years ago on the amount of artificial weaving in their grass.
'Out For Longer Than Initially Expected' - the Jack Wilshire story, available for Kindle this Christmas.
Only affects Wilshere, though.
Thing is, he somehow manages to make his comebacks at times of big tournaments, goal of the season awards, FA Cup Finals, open top bus rides etc., so doubt he's that gutted. More time for smoking.
Well if you didn't know the move to the London Olympic Stadium was a fantastic deal for WHU before you do now:

Not sure if it's index-linked, but in any case, £2m a year is less than one decent Premier League player's wages. The whole thing is an obscenity that needs a public inquiry.I read this earlier, they don't have to even cover policing costs? And that £2m a year is **** all, espescially as it's a 99year lease... what will £2m be worth in 50years?
